However, the Glenmorangie Lasanta is then matured for another two years in PX sherry casks, imported from Spain.
Due to the long maturation and the use of PX sherry casks, the Glenmorangie Lasanta is known for a warm aroma, taste and palate. It is reminiscent of the Spanish culture - and certainly provides more than a wink to some of the most popular sherries in the world.
The aroma of the Glenmorangie Lasanta is characterised by a mix of warm spices, chocolate, raisins, honeycomb and caramel toffee. The complex and interesting aroma follows through in the taste, since it is easy to detect sweet cherry flavoured sultanas, oranges, walnuts and butterscotch. Naturally, these exquisite flavours certainly lead to an interesting finish.

The aroma of the Quinta Ruban is not exactly what you would expect when looking at this whisky, because the aroma of the Quinta Ruban is predominantly dark mint. The dark mint is complemented beautifully with tangerines, Seville oranges, sandalwood and walnuts. Therefore, this whisky already packs a lot of spice in the aroma alone.
Of course, the taste of the Quinta Ruban is also something that should be experienced first-hand. The aroma follows through with a mint chocolate flavour, complemented with walnut. The combination of these flavours ensures a smooth and velvety tasting experience, which pave the way for more taste notes such as rose, Turkish delight and Seville oranges.
Glenmorangie has done an excellent job of letting the mint shine in the aroma, flavour and finish, because whisky lovers will also notice the dark mint in the silky aftertaste of the Quinta Ruban.
