As a born leader; when Amy McWaters was offered the chance to leave an impressive international career to join younger sister Emily’s company as Chief Operating Officer in 2014, the decision to say yes was an easy one. Amy brought with her passion, experience and a vision that energised SOL Group Australia and enhanced their already impressive growth.
For the decade prior, Amy travelled the world working with world-class luxury hotel brands to manage strategy, training and development. From launching new luxury hotel locations to re-developing iconic sites, Amy's experience in financial and staff management was the perfect foundation for her role as COO. While the world of e-commerce was far removed from her luxury hotel experience, Amy’s expertise in team development and passion for delivering exceptional customer service has translated into exciting growth for The Hamper Emporium.
A Vision For World-Class Customer Service
Amy’s vision for SOL Group Australia to become leaders in world-class customer service has been a success, with customer satisfaction levels, business growth and corporate partnerships all strengthening under her direction. Combined with Founder Emily's extensive experience in gourmet food wholesaling, attention to design and passion for e-commerce, it is their different skillsets that allows this dynamic sister duo to work together so successfully, while backed by a team of passionate managers and staff.
As a multi-talented leader, Amy oversees business development, logistics, finance, warehouse and dispatch, customer service and website strategy, along with developing key corporate partnerships. Working alongside her younger sister to achieve ongoing success makes the experience even more satisfying.
As both SOL Group Australia COO, and Founder Emily’s older sister, it’s their achievement together that is Amy’s favourite part of her role. Growing a multi-million dollar business takes plenty of hard work, but by maintaining a family feel with a close-knit team of staff, the hard work never outweighs the enjoyment of celebrating success and customer happiness together.
