The 2016 Cut-Off Dates for Brisbane Christmas Hampers
The cut-off dates for Christmas hampers depend on the area where you reside, or the area where your recipient resides if you are sending your gift directly to your recipient. To ensure your Christmas hamper arrives in time, please order your Christmas hamper before 1 pm on the cut-off date.
For all capital cities, the cut-off date has been determined on Thursday the 22nd of December. However, this cut-off date does not apply to Darwin. To ensure gift hampers arrive on time, residents of capital cities must select our express delivery option, where you can expect your hamper to arrive the next business day.
Residents of Sydney Metro can get their Christmas hamper on the same day of ordering with the same day delivery option. However, like other areas, residents of Sydney Metro must still place their order before 1 pm on the cut-off date, which has been determined on Wednesday the 21st of December.
Anyone who lives outside the capital cities, or lives in a remote location, should consider that the delivery of their hamper may take a little longer. To ensure there is still enough time for delivery, the Hamper Emporium has determined the cut-off date for these locations on Monday the 19th of December.
The Hamper Emporium Delivery Options
At the Hamper Emporium, we provide customers with various delivery options, so each customer can get their hamper before their special occasion. During the checkout process, customers will get to choose from two options: the standard delivery and the express delivery option. However, each delivery option can have a variable delivery time depending on where you live.
Customers living in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland Metro areas can expect to get their hamper the fastest, since these areas are the closest to our Hamper Emporium
warehouse. With our standard delivery option, customers will get their hamper between one and three business days.
Our customers living in Tasmania and South Australia can also get their hamper relatively fast with the standard delivery option, which has a deliver time between three and five days. Citizens of Perth, Darwin and regional areas may need to wait a little longer though, since the average time for standard delivery has been determined between five and eight days.
We understand that some customers need their hampers quick, which is why we have added an express delivery option as well. With this option, customers in the Sydney Metro area can get their hamper on the same day of ordering, providing the order was placed before 1 pm on a business day.
Customers residing in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Hobarts and New South Wales will also get their hamper quicker with the express delivery option. They will receive their beautiful Christmas hamper the next business day. However, when you order your hamper after 1 pm on a Friday, it does mean you will get your hamper on Monday.
The express delivery option also speeds things up for customers in Darwin and regional areas. The estimated delivery times for these customers lies between one and three business days.
We do need to mention that one of these two delivery options is free at the Hamper Emporium. If you select our standard delivery option, you will not have to pay any postage fees. We also offer special deals on bulk orders, which could prove beneficial for numerous businesses across the country.
What to Consider During the Holiday Season for Parcels?
The holidays can be a temperamental period for your deliveries, so customers should take special care when they order anything online during this time of year. To ensure you can avoid common delivery problems during the holiday season, please have a look at our overview below.
Incorporate an error margin for your deliveries
Even though our cut-off dates are usually quite accurate, we can never make any guarantees regarding the timely delivery of your order. Therefore, it is always best to incorporate an error margin when you place an order online. For example, if the cut-off date for Christmas deliveries has been set on the 22nd of December, it is best to order your parcel a couple of days before that cut-off date.
Customers should also consider that many couriers experience a backlog during the holiday season, since there are many people ordering their parcels online nowadays. Good couriers will notify you about this backlog on their website, sometimes even before December, but most will not warn you in fear of losing your business. To avoid dealing with courier and postal backlogs, planning for an error margin is certainly advised.
Provide couriers with an alternative delivery address
The holiday season is busy for everyone and sometimes it is easy to forget that you have parcels coming. Unfortunately, when you are not home to sign for your delivery, it is likely you will not be able to schedule a redelivery until several days later, especially during such as busy time as the holiday season.
