• Lay the muslin in a diamond shape.
• Fold the top quarter down towards the middle
• Place the baby on the folded part, with the head above the folded muslin.
• Take baby’s right arm and hold by their side.
• Pull the muslin over that arm. Tucking under the baby if the wrap is too large by rolling them on their side to make sure it is lying smoothly.
• Next, hold baby’s left arm gently to his side, and fold up the bottom quarter of the diamond.
• Fold the remaining wrap across the baby, rolling them onto their side before securely smoothing the warp behind their back.
• Remember not to swaddle too tightly, baby’s hips should be able to move, and they should still be able to bend their wrists. Done all of that? Then it is time to see how well it works.
